LMJ : Où êtes-vous née ?
Adriana: In an unglamorous London suburb... but I was made in Paris!
LMJ: Quel a été votre premier contact avec le français?
Adriana: When I was four, my father took up a diplomatic post in Switzerland, and I spent four years in a French school, returning to England the unwitting bearer of a French accent.
LMJ : Dans la suite de vos études, avez-vous profité de ce bon départ pour continuer d'apprendre le français ?
Adriana: I began studying French in school when I was about 10 and developed an increasing passion for it, but was cajoled by the school into taking science for my final high school years (called A levels in Britain). Having been side-tracked from the path I wanted to follow, I was still keen to study French at university, so I had to work hard to fill some gaps in my knowledge of literature. I was very lucky to be offered a place to study French and Drama at London University (Goldsmiths College), where I obtained my degree.
